MFD has purchased and merged with a formerly well-established
multi-million manufacturer and marketer of childrens fashion garments,
FROG POND KIDS, INC.* (ROG POND), with the objectives of undertaking
overseas production of a line of childrens fashion apparel for
retail sale in the United States and export, and a line American-style
childrens school uniforms for marketing through school systems
internationally.
Currently,
3L
MFD is seeking a partner can provide overseas production
in Asia. For its contribution to the new enterprise, FROG POND
will provide:
- The
knowledge and good will of resulting from 30 years of experience
in the childrens fashion garment business;
-
All of its graded patterns for children clothing, APK designs,
and cutting dyes for garment designs;
- For two years from the time of the merger,
35-40 designs for Spring / Summer sample lines and 35-40 designs
for Back-To-School / Holiday sample lines each year;
- Instructions on
how to use the graded patterns. APK designs, and cutting dyes
to create a large selection of additional designs;
- Advice and assistance
is selecting the most suitable fabrics and trim to create the
styles for each of the new seasonal designs;
- On-site consultation
at the overseas manufacturing facility to facilitate the best
and the most efficient sample-to-production strategy;

Assistance in promoting the new lines of childrens garments
internationally, as well as in the US markets.

MFD will provide the nucleus of the new companys management,
including the CEO/COO and other day-to-day operational functions.
Founders of FROG POND, Dr. and Mrs. Prince will still kindly
serve the company as honorary co-chairs of the board. A key
element in the success of this venture will be the employment
of a staff of experiences individuals who are able to provide
the bridge between the US-Overseas components of this new
globalized business.

*FROG
POND has been charted in Georgia USA since 1971. The company
has been successfully positioned in the US marketplace because
of their unique appliqu?designs on quality childrens garments.
Distributions were through major apparel marts selling
to small childrens stores and major department stores such as:
Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Macys, Richs, etc.
In 1982, the company was recognized as The Most Outstanding
Garment Manufacturer in Georgia by the US Department of
Commerce. President of the United States, Mr. Ronald Reagan presented
this award to FROG POND at the White House on a weekend long celebration
in Washington, DC.
Due to a major department store account Macys Chapter 11,
FROG POND has more recently to market their product-line directly
to consumers through catalogues and home shows. The annual sales
revenues have averaged
1.6 million dollars until 1998 (owner retired).
However, the NEW FROG POND now goes to international, and
a company revival is coming soon.
